Update xref link

This instruction will be detailed in the first email sent to you by Xref. Both you and your prospective employer will receive an email notification that the reference has been submitted. The employer will then be in touch with you regarding the next steps in the hiring process. Xref does not collect phone references. Your prospective employer requires written references for their records. Xref provides your prospective employer with the technology to quickly and securely request and receive these references.

Please contact our friendly customer support team below, we will happily switch off any automated emails for you or your reference. The great thing about Xref is that your references have the freedom to complete their feedback in their own time when it is most convenient. However, we do suggest that you keep your prospective employer updated with an estimated time and date of completion as they may be eager to progress your application.

This will be in your browser settings. Please make sure you have answered all the questions asked. Hint Hint k- sorrry, ill go back to work now Thanks for the response, Mike. I know it's really not hard to reload But sometimes I just don't have an answer why, so I guess they might just have to accept that in this case, unless I hear from some others.

I thought maybe it had to do with demand loading or something, why it couldn't automatically reload I don't know. Given the current method of reloading, an automatic reload could cause an error, especially if another command is active. We already know that the automatic saves will disable any function in Autocad while the save is being completed. For me, the demand reload is the way to go. That sounds plausible I could see that as a good explanation. I think Bbapties' suggestion would be a good wish list item.

John B "You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep-seated need to believe. Id rather just repost cause I can start a new thread Save and close the drawing. Then reopen the drawing and check the Xref path again. Is the path still correct in the External References Manager? If you fix a broken path and the Xref loads, but the fix does not stick after saving, the issue could be the result of a nested Xref.

A nested Xref is a file that is Xrefed into another file, and then that second file is Xrefed into your drawing — an Xref within an Xref. This issue is often the result of Xrefing a file into your drawing as an attachment rather than as an overlay. Check the External References Manager to see which one might also have the problematic file Xrefed into it.

For example, if the missing Xref is a planting plan, you might have it Xrefed into an irrigation plan, which is then Xrefed into your main drawing. Check the External References Manager in that file. Is the file that's missing from your main drawing also Xrefed into this file?

If you don't see the missing Xref here, check any other files you've Xrefed into your main drawing in the same way, until you find the missing Xref. If necessary, change the path to the Xref here as you did in your main drawing.

Then save the file. In the main drawing, verify that the paths to both these files are listed correctly in the External References Manager.

You may need to click the Refresh button pictured below to show the change. Nested Xrefs can nest more than one level.
