I also noticed a G-String in one of his pictures for the ladies or crossdressers or Fourtheye! Can you post closeups of the 3 to the left of the poster? It looks like tour dates and a couple small shirts but I want to see whats on them.
The samekind of cheap shirt you can buy at any Hot Topic. I always buy T-shirts when attending a show, but definitely not for Tool if they still doesnt pay attention on the quality. Yes, It says California Republic. That is the back of the shirt. I have a question for people who have been at the previous 2 shows. Do the posters come in tubes? I want to buy a signed one at the OKC show but not sure if I should bring a tube to hold it in or not and I have heard conflicting stories on if they provide them or not.
Some lady brought three of them out just as I was next in line at the merch table. They were all completely different and I got to pick which one I wanted. Would be interested in knowing if anyone bought one of the others and are missing anything…?
It would be nice to have the smokebox tshirts reprinted again.. How about a little subtlety? I can pay well if someone wants to buy an extra non-signed tour poster and ship it to me.
Send me a message if you are interested. I would suggest everone attending pick up extra posters so that we can trade!!!!! I have wondered whether or not the … Read more ». I have many posters from Tool gigs!!! I have 2 spares. I could probably be convinced to part with them.
I have wondered whether or not the embossing had some authenticating purpose preventing forged signatures, reprints, etc. The embossing seems to be random. But my dallas and San Antonio from last year.. I wonder if the embossing would have torn the stock? In fact, they embossed all of them except the signed Lolla posters.
Probably just an oversight… They may have just given up on that part of the process, deeming it unnecessary. I know only about are signed at each show, right? If you were in early, I think you could get either with no problem.
There is a total of posters period. Not sure how many of the were signed. I was thinking of starting a new thread for people to post pics of their show posters. My lolla poster was embossed last year, however all of my posters from the shows in 07 are not but they are hand numbered.
I have 9 of the print mafia posters from different shows. They didnt even have the regular posters at the venue until about 5 I believe. I stand corrected guys. I just took a closer look and took a few pictures. The embossing is higher on the art and hidden by the print. Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor take the songs and drive them to a new level with brilliant drum and bass overtures. The sum of the parts continually push the limits of progressive music and the best way to experience this is in person.
I'll always support this band, their creative vision is something to witness, hopefully they will tour and create music for us to consume. If you haven't seen them, do it before they stop! I attended a Montreal show a couple of years back and this was just as good along with the addition of some new album tracks. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the crowd here.
The fans were far more connected to the music in Montreal. They understood the ebb and flow. But, for some reason, we've got fools in Toronto who show up, get trashed and are somehow louder than the band. People here don't seem to get the idea that they're there with 12 - 13 thousand other people so it's really not about them. But, hey, that's the maturity level of kids old enough to drink legally, but not self-aware I have been waiting for over 20 yrs for Tool to come back to Dallas and Jam out.
From start to end nothing but excellence from all 4 Gentleman. They are a very fine tuned head banging, fist in the air rocking Rock and Roll band of the Decade. Live reviews Tool What a show. We'll start from what I saw on the left to what I saw on the right: 1 The visuals. Great show from beginning to end. Read more Report as inappropriate. Been a bucket list band for some time now Finally got close enough to make it. Vocally 9 Entertainment value 5 Fan base 10 Maynard remained in the dark the entire performance and once just left the stage for whatever reason letting his fellow band mates play continuous rifts until his return.
Show lasted just over 2 hours Expected a longer show. Everyone did. They released new album date during the show. They did not play "Sober" The one song I was hoping to hear live The drummer played some killer solos Maynard was sporting a "red and black striped" mohawk. I still want to hear "Sober" live
